Only the Ultimate and Enterprise edition support changing the language through the control panel.

Vistalizator provides the same functionality and supports all editions of Windows Vista and Windows 7.

One of the advantages of having Windows 7 Enterprise and Ultimate editions is that they support installing Language Interface Packs so that you can change the language that Windows uses to display text in menus, wizards, windows and other items. In other words, Starter, Home Basic, Home Premium, and Professional editions of Windows 7 don’t let you install language interface packs.

The usual guide on how to install language packs in Windows 7 doesn’t on Home Premium edition. For users who’re running Home Premium edition of Windows 7, we have a good news. Language interface packs can now be installed on Home Premium edition as well with the help of a third-party utility named Vistalizator.

In this guide, we’re going to show you how to install language packs in Windows 7 Home Premium edition using Vistalizator.

NOTE: Microsoft might not provide support for your Windows 7 Home Premium if you install language packs using this workaround. To be on the safer side, we recommend you create a manual system restore point or full system image backup of your Windows 7 drive so that you can easily revert to original system settings.

Step 1:Download Vistalizator and also your language interface pack from here.

Step 2: Run Vistalizator (doesn’t require installation) to see the main screen of the application. Here you can see your Windows 7 edition and the default OS language.

Step 3: Click Add languages button and browse to the language pack that you have downloaded in the first step and click Open to start installing the language pack. If you see any warnings, simply click Ok.

Step 4: Once the language pack is installed, you will be given option to set the new language as the active one.

Step 5: To switch between current and default languages, run Vistalizator, select the language and click Change language button.
